The craftsman behind every bead.

My name is Can. I was born into a family where tesbih was not an object — it was a language. My grandfather prayed with amber; my father with kuka. The beads were always in motion, always close to the hand.
After many years as a collector, I began to turn beads myself. First as a way to understand the old pieces — later as a way of life. Today I create tesbih in the Ottoman tradition: one bead at a time, without mass production, without haste.
Every piece takes time. I choose the material by hand, turn the beads, polish them in several stages and string them on real silk. The imame — the large bead at the end — is often the part that takes the longest. That is where tradition and signature meet.
I do not make many pieces a year. In return, every piece must be something I would pass on myself. That is my promise to you — and to the craft I have been entrusted to carry forward.
